Russia Reports Significant Growth in Gold and Resource Reserves in 2025
Russia's proven gold reserves surged by 614 metric tons in 2025, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources. Minister Alexander Kozlov highlighted broader growth across minerals, including copper, coal, and iron ore. Rare metals like titanium and tungsten also saw substantial increases.
Energy reserves followed suit, with oil and condensate reserves rising by 640 million tons and natural gas by 670 billion cubic meters. The expansion builds on 2024's 804-ton gold reserve growth, driven by further exploration of existing sites.
